Our community living service provides support to help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities live rich and meaningful lives.
LAUNCH Life
Our Community Habilitation (LIFE) program provides clients with access to community activities and resources, nurturing skills specific to each person’s Staff Action Plan. Our counselors understand that everyone has strengths, which we carefully help cultivate at home and in community. Areas of development include:
- Household management
- Cooking
- Housekeeping
- Money management and budgeting
- Relationship building both interpersonally and within the community
- Travel training
- Social skill development
- Self-advocacy
Eligibility:
Individuals must meet eligibility criteria as defined by the New York State Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), be eligible for Medicaid, and be enrolled in the Home and Community Based Services Waiver (HCBS). Referrals are made through the Care Manager.
LAUNCH Rec
Adult Social Recreation provides an opportunity for group members to meet weekly for social interaction. Activities include:
- Sporting events
- Museums
- Game night
- Festivals
- Holiday parties
- Hiking
- Dinners
These activities aim to help group members build and maintain valuable relationships by strengthening their social skills.
Eligibility:
Group members are 18 and over, have OPWDD eligibility, live with family, and reside in Onondaga County. Self-pay option if individual does not meet eligibility criteria.
