Summer may end, but the growth and excitement don’t have to. LAUNCH’s Connect & Thrive Program helps your child continue building confidence, resilience, and strong social-emotional skills all year long.

Connect & Thrive

Connect & Thrive provides recreational and educational support for children with developmental disabilities. It is designed to support the social emotional wellness of the students by providing a variety of social options to participate in while engaging in functional math and literacy activities. In order to best support the youth’s emotional needs, staff utilize the Second Step curriculum. The curriculum is designed to give students the opportunity to learn and practice the techniques to:

• Gain confidence
• Set goals
• Make better decisions
• Collaborate with others in work and play
• Navigate the world more effectively

Connect & Thrive provides social and emotional learning opportunities to develop and maintain skills. The goal of the program is to provide each student with a positive social experience to improve their social skills, confidence and coping skills.

The program will operate one half day (4 hours) each Saturday every month except July and August.
